Every firm’s website says that the firm is dedicated to representing you and that its lawyers are skilled legal practitioners. As a client, you expect your counsel to be competent, qualified and diligent. This is not a deciding factor, but merely a minimum qualification. Are we competent, qualified and diligent? Absolutely.  But this only represents a beginning point for attorney evaluation, not a reason to select one firm over another. This controls cost for the client while enhancing service, representation and results to both meet and exceed the client’s particular goals and needs. Value.

Lawyers and legal representation are expensive. This is a fact. As an individual, association, non-profit, or small or large business, you must keep costs down and to a minimum. Typically, our firm’s rates and billing for the same comparable services of larger firms average 25%-50% less for comparable representation and service. This often equals thousands of dollars in savings for clients. Paying lower fees at Quarterman Hodson & Morang, P.C. is not a trade off.  Our clients DO pay us for our intellect, service, expertise, experience, listening and communication skills, knowledge and counsel. Our clients DO NOT pay extra for excessive and unnecessary staff, attorneys and overhead, a marble atrium, fine art in the lobby, media campaign, monogrammed firm memorabilia,  satellite offices or a shiny new office tower.  We have cut out the fat to give our clients value without sacrifice.

We Do Not Overbill.

We do not up charge. We do not have hidden fees. We have families and businesses, like you do, and we hate being surprised by a bill. We bill for substantive work performed. We do not measure the value of our clients in 6 minute increments. While we are a business and cannot work for free, we honestly believe that many firms’ institutional over-emphasis on incremental hourly billing creates a chilling effect on effective communication between attorney and client.  We would rather keep you as a client for life and develop a long term working relationship. Quarterman Hodson & Morang, P.C. clients know that a quick call or email to a firm attorney will not become a mushrooming bill later. Clients often stay for a few minutes after discussing a legal, business or real estate matter and hang out, share some jokes, stories or grab lunch with us. Children of clients remember our office for the toy box and old fashioned coca cola bottles we share with guests. Don’t worry, there is no hidden meter running.
